On the problem of the reconstruction of the legend of Antonij

This article examines the hypothesis of the existence of the Legend of Antonij advanced by A. A. Shakhmatov. This legend would be one of the oldest memorials of Russian literature from the end of IX century. The text of this legend was lost. The author raises the issue about reconstruction of the Legend on the basis of links from Kiev-Pechersk Patericon. Author examines tales connected with Antonij. Author draws the conclusion about possible existence of Antonij Patericon complied with main principles of the genre.
