To the problem of self-determination of senior pupils in new educational standards

In this article psychological-pedagogical explanation of the problem of selfdetermination of a senior pupil in the context of new educational standards is given. The categorial device developed in the theory and practice of self-determination is presented. The basic contradictions and reasons of the insufficient development of the problem, the basic tendencies of the new content of education, the principles of its formation, the opportunities for updating competences and development of selfdetermination from the position of new educational standards are revealed.
