An approach to the issue of establishing secular education for women in Dagestan and its further advancement (in the XIX to the early XX centuries)

The paper considered the issues of the first educational institutions of secular nature for women having emerged in Dagestan and their further operation. Undoubtedly, the position held by education for women is an important indicator of the level of spiritual advancement of the community. The paper explored advancement of secular education for women since the XIX to the early XX centuries in Dagestan. The study presented a description of educational institutions for women having operated in that period.
