To the question of the English culture-specific concepts classification and the ways of their expression in culture

The article is devoted to the classification of the English culture-specific concepts. It gives the definitions to the terms “the culture-specific concept” and “the lexical gap”, considers the connection between these phenomena. The V.Oshchepkova’s classification is analyzed in detail. By the classification’s example different kinds of the culture-specific concepts and the ways of their expression in culture are covered.
