Speaking of property privatization in Russia in the 1990-s

The article analyzes the process of privatization of property in Russia in the 1990s according to the plan of "shock therapy" of the government of Y.T. Gaidar. The features of privatization of housing stock and land are considered. Alternative options for privatization based on real projects of those years are revealed and a comparison is made with similar reforms in the countries of Eastern Europe during the Cold War, which were part of the socialist camp.
