The article discusses the Conference of the Parties that took place in the period 2010-2014, preceding the Paris Agreement of 2015. These conferences are the most important meetings on the agenda of international climate negotiations. Each year they brought together countries that have ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Traditionally, they took place at the end of the year (November-December) in the host country that applied. The author analyzes the highlights of the climatological conferences, noting that the documents they adopted (international treaties) contain some positive elements, such as the reference to the 2 ° C target and funding commitments, but its main disadvantage is that it is based on a bottom-up approach. , which does not come from needs, but from what countries are ready to do. In addition, it does not provide any guarantees of a legally binding instrument. Therefore, such a result is not considered successful.
