On the issue of a comprehensive approach to diagnostics and treatment of bacterial cystitis in cats

Cystitis in cats is one of the leading causes of diseases of the urinary system and is a frequent reason for owners to visit veterinary clinics. The purpose of this study is to compare the therapeutic effectiveness of treatment and prevention regimens for bacterial cystitis in cats. Based on the results of the study, we can conclude that the experimental treatment regimen using Sinuxol, Petkam Tabs, Papaverin, KotErvin, and UroPro demonstrates a better therapeutic effect compared to the control treatment regimen. This allows animals to recover on average two days earlier. Adding UroPro, which contains Dmannose and glucosamine, to the treatment regimen for cat cystitis resulted in a faster reduction of polyuria symptoms and improved urine analysis results. These results can be attributed to the anti-adhesive properties of Dmannose, which prevents bacteria from attaching to the bladder mucosa, and the regenerative.
