The article considers the main stages of history of studying dialects of the Komi-Permyak language. It also covers the question of peculiarities of dialect vocabulary related to kinship relations (kinship terms, affinity terms, terms of non-kin relations) in the Komi-Permyak language. The analyzed material shows that there are both similarities and differences between literary language and the Komi-Permyak dialects at lexical and phonetic levels. The author comes to the conclusion that dialect kinship terms are mostly represented by primordial variants though there is a great layer of loan words borrowed from the Russian language.
