About discourse in case study

The article reviews the history of description and the common issues crucial for discourse analysis, particular discourse in educational interaction. We consider and summarize various approaches to discourse research, reveal understanding of discourse in case study and its main components. Discourse is analyzed in terms of a recipient and a sender as correlation between the meanings of language units and wide extralinguistic context, which involves referential-objective and communicative situation, background and common knowledge. The given interpretation of discourse is relevant for modelling discourse/activity in the learning situation: all the components of extralinguistic context should be clear and unambiguous for participants of educational interaction, i.e. should be ensured correlation with referential-objective situation, commonality of presupposition and background knowledge.
