To the problem of discourse analysis of idioms

The present article addresses the question of the discourse analysis. To elucidate the issue, the study deals with some current theories of how a discourse is considered. With regard to these views a discourse is maintained as a special mental «space» that acquires a special selection of language units. It is preferable to use a combined approach aimed at the discourse analysis of English idioms.
