The article is devoted to the philosophical and logico-gnoseological teaching of Mikhail Karinsky, professor of St. Petersburg Teological Academy. Te article concludes that the teaching of Karinsky in a certain respect can be considered a philosophical system. Te reconstruction of the concepts of this system shows that it included historical and philosophical teachings, in which Karinsky organized a critique of philosophical teachings from antiquity up to modern philosophy, as well as logical teaching about the classification of conclusions. Te definition of Karinsky’s thinking received its final structure in his work on self-evident truths, that is, truths that do not require proof. Karinsky criticized the teachings of Kant, Fichte, Hegel, as well as Trendelenburg, Lotze, and the “semi- Kantian” trend of philosophy for their dogmatism.
