One of the major social problems of modern Russia is a significant regional disparities in economic potential. The article describes the scenarios and forecast indicators of socio-economic development of the Altai Territory. Based on the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Altai Territory till 2015 developed SWOT-analysis of long-term development of the region, given the mechanisms of realization of strategic priorities for the development of regions of Russia, detail painted strategic and tactical actions.
