The article considers both the contents of the supervisory activity in the system of functions of the criminal procedure and various legal mechanisms of immunity and human rights protection. The author analyses the changes introduced into the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation and suggests the ways of solving the issues mentioned above.
