Modern economic processes around the world are characterized by a number of specific features formed by processes catalyzed or triggered by a pandemic. Among such features, we can single out a decrease in the volume of trade between countries, a logistics crisis and, as a result, an aggravation of the need to transform economic ties and the environment for their implementation into qualitatively new forms that meet external and internal challenges. The authors, based on the analysis of the dynamics of trade turnover of the Russian Federation with the main partners, identify negative trends and justify the need to overcome them by introducing innovative technologies. At the same time, the gap in the indicators of readiness for the introduction of innovations among the EAEU member states is shown. The paper identifies not only the main problems of economic interaction, but also suggests ways to solve them.
