Introduction: the article is devoted to the development of the language of forensic science. The problems of forming the terminological apparatus of forensics, determining trends in the construction of concepts and their definitions, the ratio of natural and artificial languages in the context of digitalization of scientific and practical activities, the ratio of categorical apparatuses of philosophy and the language of science require close attention, because the main tasks of the language of science have always been formation, translation and the development of scientific knowledge. Materials and Methods: the article is based on classical and modern philosophical developments of the indicated problem. The methodological basis of the study was the universal dialectic method of scientific knowledge, which is universal in nature, as well as methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description. Results of the Study: the author considered the problems of the development of the language of forensic science, the formation of its terminological apparatus. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of the language of science and the trends in the development of forensic science, the main ways to create new forensic terms and ways of their integration into the language environment of science were identified: transferring a term from another language, diffusion of terms from one area of scientific knowledge to another, addition to the term adjective (the so-called two-word terms), etc. Findings and Conclusions: in the course of comprehending the development trends of the language of the science of forensic science, the author came to the conclusion that the word found by the subject, as the most reflecting essence of the described phenomenon, becomes a term when it meets the requirements of unambiguity, weak dependence on the context, systematicity, stylistic neutrality, semantic unification; there is a group of people (professionals) interested in this term with communicative contacts; the term receives approval and consent to use, is allowed in the conceptual-linguistic system of science. In conclusion, it is noted that the development of the language of forensic science, the formation of its terminological apparatus, methods and ways of creating and implanting new terms in the forensic science language environment require further studies at a comprehensive, monographic level, since the language of science is the most important means of scientific knowledge through which scientists organize and broadcast the scientific knowledge they produce.
