The article studies the corporate culture of the trading house “Kunst and Albers”. The chronological framework of the study covers the period from the late 70s of the XIX century, the time of the beginning of the active growth of the company and the formation of its corporate culture, until the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, when the conditions of stay of German enterprises in Russia changed greatly. The article notes that this trading house “Kunst and Albers” was one of the largest enterprises in East Asia. The key to its success and high competitiveness was a good knowledge of the region, market research and consumer demand, a high level of business reputation. One of the strengths of this company was the presence of a highly professional, cohesive and responsible team that was able to solve the most difficult tasks. This was the result of a well-thought-out personnel policy of the company, which gave value to the selection, motivation of staff and care for its employees.
