On the question of the criminalistic characterization of the personality of the criminal who committed insurance fraud

The article reveals the characteristics of the personality of a criminal engaged in fraudulent activities in the insurance industry. The personal characteristics of insurance fraudsters are investigated. Based on the analysis of scientific literature and law enforcement practice, two types of persons committing insurance fraud are identified. The importance of studying the portrait of the person who committed insurance fraud is determined, both for the qualitative investigation of the crime and for the prevention of crimes in the field under consideration.
