On the safety measures in public transportation at the pandemic covid-19 caused by the new sars-cov-2: comparison of virucidal efficiency of disinfectants

There is no doubt that public transport is an essential socio-economic service, but at the same time, all forms of public and shared transportation (buses, trolleybuses, trains, trams, subway trains, rental cars, planes, vessels, etc.) as well as stations, passenger terminals and airports are high-risk areas for the spread of infectious diseases, and this aspect has become particularly significant in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. Indirect transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus through contaminated hands and surfaces is one of the recognized ways of the spread of COVID-19. Cleaning and disinfection of inner surfaces, especially, frequently touched surfaces such as handles and rails has become an everyday practice in many countries all over the world. The present paper describes a review of the literature available information about the inactivating efficiency of widely used disinfecting substances against human and veterinary coronaviruses.
