The characteristic of up-to-date condition of the norm-legal base regulating activity of service of medicolegal examination in the Republic of Kazakhstan is reflected in the article. Historical aspects of development of norm-legal base since the documents working in the USSR are resulted. It is specified, what modern norm-legal documents, acting now in the Republic of Kazakhstan, are transformed from documents of the Soviet period and what are created at a modern historical stage.
