To the issue of the concept of crime detection in the criminal law

The article concept of «crime detection» and its correlation with other concepts in the criminal law such as «prevention of crimes», «investigation of crimes», and «exposure of persons committed crimes” are considered. Doctrinal points of view and examples from judicial practice are analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion that for the purposes of the criminal law the concept “crime detection” should be considered as activities of the bodies of inquiry and investigation aimed at establishing the event of a crime and the person who committed it.
