On the issue of the legal nature of imprisonment for a certain period of time

In this article, the author considers the legal nature of imprisonment for a certain period as a special type of criminal punishment. In particular, the author justifies the point of view that imprisonment for a certain period has dualism by its legal nature: it should be considered, firstly, as an independent type of criminal punishment, and secondly, as a specific concept of punishments containing elements of imprisonment.
