The article is devoted to the organization of human rights activities of the prosecution authorities of the Russian Federation. The role and significance of the human rights function of the prosecutor’s office is analyzed. The paper compares the human rights functions of the prosecution and the activities of human rights organizations. The most priority areas of work of the prosecutor’s office in the field of human rights are considered.
