The article is written as a continuation of the author’s article “Problems of teaching the subject ‘The latest regulatory documents of the Russian Orthodox Church’ in theological seminaries” (Christian Reading, 2024, No. 4). It contains clarifications and additions on specific issues raised in this area, e. g. because of emergence of new church documents and discussion of these issues by the community of those teaching church law subjects. Some critical points in the development of canonical disciplines curricula are considered. Conclusions are made about the need to adjust “The latest regulatory documents of the Russian Orthodox Church” discipline curriculum and to expand its liturgical part. There are also conclusions about the need to change the place of the subject in the program plan and about no need to combine the discipline with the “Canon Law” course. It is also indicated that it is necessary to adjust the program of teaching the latest church documents at the advanced training courses for clergy, as well as to hold such courses more often. The article may be of practical use for improving the teaching of church law subjects in theological schools.
