To the issue of applicability of production functions to the productive economy system analysis

Construction of production dependences is discussed on the basis of statistic information. The authors show that real statistic data do not allow construction of production dependences with permanent parameter values and satisfactory statistical characteristics. It is concluded that in order to carry out specific long-term macroeconomic research it is expedient to apply an approach that bases on forecasting of dynamics of the capital production co-efficient with spline-analysis of statistical data from the base period.
