On the issue of acquiring the right of ownership by limitation of ownership

The author in the article examines the statute of limitations under the legislation of Russia, the difficulties that arise in the application by courts of the rules on the acquisition of property rights under the statute of limitations. The important role of the possibility of acquiring property rights on the basis of the statute of limitations of ownership is emphasized, examples are given. The author also notes that the workload of judges and the increase in the number of cases on the recognition of property rights by the statute of limitations arises due to the legal illiteracy of the population. The article lists ways to eliminate legal nihilism.
