On developing ontological resources for the terrorism domain

The article considers main approaches for ontology interpretation and development. The emphasis is made on ontological resources for the subject area “terrorism” created to automatically detect and analyze the terrorist content in natural language texts. Analysis of particular projects on the development of terrorism ontologies is presented. The influence of specific aspects of terrorist activity on structuring the ontological models is determined and particular methods for their construction are described.
