On the question of solving the problem of neglect in families (illustrated by the way of life of Cossacks and peoples of the North Caucasus)

The article deals with the topical problem of present-day Russia - upbringing orphans and children that have no parents to care for them. The approaches for solving the problem in the historical perspective as well as the opinions of distinguished teachers on the matter have been introduced. The experience of upbringing neglected children in foster homes that took place among Cossacks and traditional ethnic way of life of the peoples of the North Caucasus have been collected and analyzed.
