Pediatric cancer with synchronous metastasis represents a rare clinical situation. Nevertheless, the scientific societies of pediatric oncology have made considerable efforts to propose studies or consensus on a specific treatment for this clinical situation. There is a growing body of prospective data describing the oligometastatic phenotype in adults in whom local antitumor therapy, including radiotherapy directed at foci of metastasis, improves the outcome of specific treatment. The relative paucity of data on children and adolescents with oligometastatic disease poses challenges in selecting appropriate specialty treatment tactics in pediatric oncology patients. This article, which is the final in a series of articles published over the past year in the journal "Vestnik of the Russian Scientific Center of Roentgenoradiology" (5 articles) and devoted to the role of remote stereotactic body ablative radiotherapy for oligometastatic disease, summarizes data on this issue, relating not to the adult contingent of patients, but to children and adolescents.
