On the role of information technologies in the activities of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the role of information technologies in the activities of the Federal Customs Service. The paper highlights the features of information networks of customs authorities. The analysis of the conditions and prospects for the introduction of digital technologies into the institute of customs payments, the technology for solving problems of automatic verification of the correctness of accrual, timely payment, as well as the formation of the information service "Personal Account of a foreign trade participant". The author indicates the process of implementation and functioning of Electronic Declaration Centers. The essence of blockchain technology and the possibility of its application in automatic release is revealed.
