On the role of the category of space in the study of the economic well-being of municipalities

The article discusses the need to take into account the space factor in studies of the economic well-being of municipalities. The potential of the theory of spatial economics in such studies is shown, which consists in the possibility of determining the economic and spatial essence of municipalities, assessing the quality of the formed economic space of municipalities, as well as identifying spatial advantages and weaknesses.
