The article is devoted to the study of the dynamics of crop production and livestock breeding and agricultural organization in the Republic of Buryatia. The tendency of increasing share of livestock production is revealed in the structure of agricultural production. Changes in the structure are the result of reducing the volume of grain and grain legumes, fodder crops and of increasing of cattle and poultry production. This last is accompanied by a reduction in the number of farm animals and a decrease in the volume of milk production. Insufficient attention to the problems of crop production development adversely affects not only the crop production development, but also hinders the development of livestock breeding. Therefore, a need to form a balanced agricultural organization and to use a systematic approach to the agricultural branches development is identified. And, moreover, it is necessary to take into account the mutual influence of the branches of agriculture.
