The issue of the relationship between the methodology of forensic expertology, the methodology of expert research and expert methodology

Methodology is an important building block in forensic science. Acting as a scientific basis, it performs an important cognitive function, without which scientific knowledge cannot be recognized as complete. The methodology of forensic expertology is analyzed from the point of view of the genesis of scientific knowledge. The article provides a theoretical analysis of the concepts “methodology of forensic theory”, “methodology of expert research” and “expert methodology”. Their essence, interrelation, and structural arrangement in the system of general methodology of science and theory of forensic examination are described in detail. The features of the methodology of scientific knowledge and the general theory of forensic examination, the methodology of expert research are considered, and the definitions of the methodology of expert research are also studied and presented; the functions of each of the indicated structural elements of scientific knowledge are determined. The results obtained emphasize that the methodology of forensic expertology has a clear, logically sound, verified system in which the conceptual foundations of any forensic research are concentrated, regardless of the class, type or type of examination.
