To the problem of correlation of social and other kinds of intelligence

The article considers the problem of the relationship of three types of intelligence: social, emotional and logical. Interest in social intelligence (SI) is determined by the need of society to reveal the "social capacity" of a person and develop them. Social intelligence is seen as a necessary condition for successful mastering of professional skills and adapt in a professional environment. Development of social intelligence becomes an important part of the educational process. Social intelligence is the object of study of many scientists, but there is no single concept, which explains the nature of social intelligence in the structure of skills, studies vary widely, including by reason of the use of different measurement methods and theoretical concepts of the authors. In our study we investigated the social intelligence of students of different specialties. We used the technique to study the social intelligence J. Guilford and M. Sallivena; test of emotional intelligence N. Hall, intelligence structure test R. Amthauera (abridged version). As a result of factor analysis (varimax rotation) 5 factors were identified. Correlation analysis revealed a complex relationship between the three types of intelligence. Social intelligence is not directly related with the level of general intelligence. Social intelligence is positively correlated with the emotional with the greatest burden in terms of "empathy" and has a negative relation with the mathematical intelligence. The higher the logical intelligence, the more empathy. Revealed a link between the level of development of social intelligence and the chosen profession. The results are consistent with the findings of other authors, both domestic and foreign authors.
