On the issue of improving the identity policy in the context of the implementation of the state national policy strategy of the Russian Federation

The article investigates the issue of improving the system of strategic management of the national-state identity formation in modern Russia. The concept of social identity by H. Tajfel and J. Turner serves as the theoretical foundation of the research. The methodological basis of the work is built on the combination of structural, comparative and descriptive analysis. The author concludes that at the moment, Russia lacks a full-fledged system of strategic management of the formation of national-state identity. The policy of the Russian authorities at the level of strategic management is characterized by significant shortcomings in terms of assessing the current state of national-state identity, setting goals, selecting methods and indicators of the effectiveness of achieving the selected goals. It allows you to influence only a part of the factors determining the identity model.
