The study is aimed at analyzing the tourism development strategy of in Russia in terms of results, prospects, and effectiveness of implementation. Tasks: to determine compliance with the principles of strategic planning in the document "Strategy for the development of tourism in the Russian Federation until 2035"; to find out the prospects for the implementation of the strategy; determine the possibility of improving the strategy. Research methods: strategic analysis, comparative and historical methods for comparing changes in the development of the tourism industry.
