On the issue of trial by jury in the Russian Federation

The article raises the issue of trial by jury in the Russian Federation. The historical and legal analysis of the development of the institution of the judicial system of Russia is carried out. The principles of participation of citizens of the Russian Federation who are not professional lawyers in the administration of justice in certain categories of cases are analyzed. Various opinions of scientists are given, and the prospects for the development of the jury trial in our country are analyzed.
