Concerning the essence of criminal network (criminal organization) engaged in illegal drug trafficking

The article reviews such signs of criminal network as solidarity, sustainability, committing of grave and most serious crimes, inclusion of several organized groups in its structure. The author has found some problems in the regulation of the liability of members of the criminal organization engaged in the illegal drug trafficking. The paper discusses the signs of drug trafficking criminal organization (joint crime, high knowledge and skills of the members, structural and functional hierarchy, etc.). In order to improve the criminal law in the field of fight against organized crime and drug trafficking the author proposes to supplement the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with the article "Organization of Criminal Network (Criminal Organization) Engaged in Illegal Drug Trafficking".
