This article discusses the theoretical foundations of teaching cadets of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia combinations of painful fighting techniques and throws from the point of view of the pedagogical process. Combat fighting techniques are an essential part of the training of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, since they represent the practical realization of the right to use physical force established by the Federal Law «On Police». The issues of the principles of this activity, its main elements and problematic aspects are highlighted. The motor aspects of performing the simplest painful and throwing techniques are analyzed, conclusions are drawn about the need to comply with the basic conditions for the use of combat fighting techniques in a situation of real confrontation with the offender. The content of such conditions as surprise, the use of a relaxing blow, the preservation of one's own balance is revealed.
