The article substantiates the need to calculate the reliability indicators of rural electric networks for the effective solution of a number of tasks facing grid enterprises whose main activity is related to the operation of electric grid equipment. It is shown that at present, due to the active introduction of information technologies into the production activities of such enterprises, it is advisable to automate, among other things, the processes for calculating the indicators of operational reliability of electric networks. For practice, emergency shutdowns are of particular interest, the number and duration of which are random variables, and therefore their assessment requires processing a sufficiently large volume of statistical data contained in the log of shutdowns and its correct placement, taking into account the specifics of the structure of rural electric networks. At the same time, the definition of the emergency shutdown flow parameter can be performed quite simply, for example, using an Excel spreadsheet editor, while when studying the average recovery time, the task arises of determining the type of distribution law and its main parameters. For this purpose, an algorithm is proposed in the article that allows automating the calculation of the average recovery time of power supply in case of emergency shutdowns. For this purpose, an algorithm is proposed in the article that allows automating the calculation of the average power supply recovery time in case of emergency outages. Using this algorithm, statistical data on the duration of emergency outages for one of the districts of the electric networks of the North Caucasus region were processed, as a result of which the value characterizing the average recovery time was determined, and the resulting statistical distribution allowed us to hypothesize about the exponential law of the distribution of a random variable. It is also proposed to automate the standard procedure for checking the statistical distribution with the theoretical one according the criterion of consent χ2-Pearson agreement criterion using the developed algorithm.
