Concerning military estate of Chechens during the period of traditional society

The article makes an attempt to consider the existence of Chechen military estate in the period of traditional society. According to the author, the data of ethnonymics, toponymy, Chechens' folklore, military terminology of Chechen language, the remnants of fortifications, combat and watch towers at the strategic roads of Chechnya, suggest that in the late middle ages there was a military estate in the Chechen society with the division by the type of special purpose and the type of weapon.
