The article examines the characteristic features of the elections of deputies of the Moscow City Duma in September 2024. The elections of deputies of the Moscow City Duma was held on a single voting day on September 6-8, 2024. In the elections to the Moscow City Duma in 2024, the number of single-member electoral districts was 45, which had not changed since 2014. In these districts, 45 deputies of the Moscow City Duma are elected for five years in accordance with the majority electoral system. The same situation was in the previous elections to the Moscow City Duma in 2019. The number of potential candidates for deputies of the Moscow City Duma reaches 289 people, who represent eight parties and non-party self-nominees. Of the eight parties, five are parliamentary parties - United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, Just Russia - For the Truth, New People. Candidates for deputies of the Moscow City Duma from these parties do not collect signatures for their participation in the elections. Candidates representing the parties «Communists of Russia», «Yabloko» and «Greens» are required to collect signatures in their constituencies - 3% of the number of voters in the district, half of which they can collect remotely. The total number of voters in Moscow is more than 7.8 million people. The turnout for the elections of deputies of the Moscow City Duma in 2019 amounted to more than 21% of the total number of voters in Moscow. Most of them voted remotely - more than 92%.
