Concerning protection of children in troubled families

The article deals with issues of troubled families, child neglect, social orphanhood, offences committed by children and children as crime victims. Considering the statistic data on juvenile delinquency in the Volgograd region the author concludes that the prevention measures carried out by the authorities are ineffective: on the background of a decreasing number of crimes committed by juveniles there is an increased number of juvenile victims of wrongful acts.
