On the issue of the protection of human rights in armed conflict

An urgent task in the modern world, where many States are experiencing the consequences of wars and hostilities, is to protect and ensure human rights, since there is a constant real threat to the lives of civilians. The purpose of the work is to analyze the problem of compliance with international legal acts that establish the obligation of the conflicting parties to respect inalienable human rights. The study revealed the dual nature of human rights protection in armed conflicts. On the one hand, there are many international acts establishing the obligation of States to respect humanity towards the civilian population, on the other hand, in certain cases human rights are violated in armed conflicts.
