On the Issue of Anti-Corruption Declaration of Non-Financial Inter-ests in Modern Russia

The scientific article delves into a relatively new tool for combating manifestations of corruption in modern Russia: which is the declaration of non-financial interests. From the author’s perspective, this mechanism is intended to play a dominant role in the fight against this “eternal social disease” of humanity, contrastingly high-lighting potential conflicts of interest, as well as providing a real opportunity to promptly take proactive measures for their oversight. Moreover, this tool creates an atmosphere of transparency in the financial sector, thereby facili-tating the difficult task of civil society in implementing constant and effective monitoring of prerequisites for possible conflicts of interest among representatives of all branches of government. The effective anti-corruption declaration of non-financial interest considered in this publication clearly contributes to the formation of public trust in public institutions, strengthening the legitimacy of authorities at various levels. The author places particular emphasis on several critical issues within the realm of declaring non-financial interests and formulates recommendations aimed at further developing and improving the systemic mechanism of the institution for declaring non-financial interests, with the goal of more effectively countering such an extremely negative social phenomenon as corruption.
