Considering the issue of the use of zoonym-containing vocabulary for the characterization of man in Afro-American world picture

The article deals with the analysis of the novels of the Afro-American writers with the following discovery of the key zoocharacteristics that qualify the positive and negative qualities and man’s behavior. The article aims to consider the basic notions, terms and classifications used in the work with the zoonym-containing vocabulary. There is concluded about the most frequent nominations of animals that are used by the Afro-American authors for the characteristics of the representatives of male and female.
