The article examines the cryptocurrency market as a whole and the emerging sectors of the cryptocurrency market. Attention is paid to issues related to different indicators of market valuation. The sector of decentralized finance, for example, has a special indicator - the total blocked value. Since 2019, there have been significant changes: different market sectors have appeared, the structure of the list of the ten largest cryptocurrencies has changed. Cryptocurrencies in the context of investing remain a high-risk instrument.
