On the question of studying the history of the art of the Chechen people

The article discusses the features of the scientific study of the history of the art of the Chechen people. In particular, the author shows that along with in-depth studies of the artistic traditions of folk crafts, little attention was paid directly to the history of professional art in Caucasian studies, which was due to its relatively late emergence, the national and cultural characteristics of the region, as well as the discontinuity of the formation of the national school of painting. The study of the formation and formation of the artistic art of the Chechen people at the present time, although it attracts the attention of researchers, nevertheless suffers from fragmentation and lack of analysis of socio-cultural dominants. The issue of the formation of ideological and aesthetic prerequisites of the Chechen professional fine art has not been resolved, the problems of periodization, the study of the peculiarities of national schools, their formation and development in the context of cultural integration remain open
