On the Epistemology of Political Knowledge in a Technocratic Society

The article analyzes the discourse of the epistemology of political knowledge as the basis of political interest and political participation of a citizen in the political process. Based on the analysis of theoretical and methodological concepts, the article reveals the role of political knowledge for the institutionalization of political participation, expression of political interest, and citizen participation in the political process based on the assessment and interpretation of information. The methodology of the study was the general system and dialectical method of cognition. The article states the importance of creating epistemological matrices for the formation of reliable political knowledge, the role of modern mass media in politically informing society, and the formation of meanings and political ideas. These aspects allow government institutions to make informed political decisions taking into account the peculiarities of the social structure of society.
