On the question of the formation of the khanate of Khiva

The article is devoted to the formation of one of the Central Asian khanates - the Khanate of Khiva. It is noted that the geographical location and features of the natural and climatic factor influenced the socio-political and economic development of the Khanate. It is emphasized that the local population designated their country as "Khorezm". It is concluded that in the region for several centuries there was an intersection of farmers and nomads, as well as Turks and Persians, which left its mark on the further development of the state.
