On the issue of determining the competence of a judicial expert candidate

In this article, the author analyzes the features and problematic aspects of determining the degree of competence of an expert involved in civil proceedings for the purpose of conducting a forensic examination. The author analyzes judicial practice and assesses the degree of development of the concept of expert competence in courts.
